Rules of Entry

1. The new media age awards are open to any interactive business or project in the UK market that has launched, been re-developed or shown substantial, measurable progress during the judging eligibility period which runs from 17th March 2011 to 13th March 2012 inclusive.

2. Entries must be made online using the official category-specific entry templates. Each category has a different template, which can be found on the Categories page. Entries will not be accepted by any other means.

3. All questions on the category-specific entry template should be answered. The answer boxes are expandable, however once complete the entry template should not exceed 3 A4 pages in length (unless otherwise stated on the template).

4. The majority of categories are open to entries from any interactive medium or combination of media; only in the "Best Use of..." categories is entry restricted to the specific medium or channel. The 'Greatest Individual Contribution to New Media' and the 'Grand Prix' categories are not open for entry.

5. Projects may be entered into more than one category as appropriate, but an entry fee of £170 + UK VAT must be paid for each category entered (except for the Rising Star category, which is free to enter). We are not able to invoice for entries, however, you will find a pro-forma invoice included in the email confirmation received upon submission.

6. When entries are submitted on behalf of clients by agencies or other parties, new media age will assume client approval has been secured by the entering agency. If any issues arise concerning client sign-off once the entry has been submitted, no refund will be given.

7. new media age accepts no responsibility for any incorrectly submitted information.

8. The judges reserve the right to re-categorise entries if they think another category would be more suitable. However, they cannot be expected to routinely re-categorise incorrectly entered projects.

9. Sponsors are  not allowedto enter the category that they are sponsoring.

10. When making your entry/ies we request that you upload an Illustrator eps logo for the entering agency and brand/client only.

11. When making your entry you may upload a piece of supporting material if necessary – for example a pdf, Word, Excel, Powerpoint or Jpeg file. Please ensure that your entry template, supporting material and logos together do not exceed the maximum upload limit of 5MB per entry.

12. The new media age awards will not accept physical items as supporting material, if received this will not be passed to the judges and new media age takes no responsibility for such items

13. The first round of judging will be done solely on the basis of the information supplied in the category-specific entry template.

14. Where websites form part of an entry, please ensure any URLs, access details, usernames and passwords needed for judging are supplied, that they work, and that they will continue to work until Thursday 28th June 2012. The second stage of judging will be based on the judges viewing the projects. Sites that cannot be viewed will be eliminated from the judging.

15. Entry Deadline: Tuesday 13th March 2012. Entries may be edited up until the point of 'submission'; all submissions must be made by Tuesday 13th March 2012. Entries will not be considered fully submitted until the entrant proceeds to the payment stage and selects a payment method.

16. Once submitted, entries are confirmed and non-refundable. Payments must be cleared by Tuesday 13th March 2012. Once payment has been received your entry/ies will be passed to the judges for review.

17. By submitting an entry the entrant confirms that they have read and agree with the Rules of Entry and understand these now apply.

18. Any entry may be withdrawn for any reason up until 5.30pm on Tuesday 13th March 2012 upon written request to the organisers; however the entry fee is non-refundable.

19. The judges' decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding them.

20. Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on Thursday 28th June 2012. To book your table online visit the Book a Table page. Payment is due within one week of your booking. If your booking is made in June, payment is due immediately and no later than Thursday 21st June 2012. We are not able to invoice for table bookings, however you will find a pro-forma invoice included in the email confirmation received upon booking completion.


COMMERCIAL CONFIDENCE

It is very important that you fully complete the entry template. In particular, details of budget and return on investment should be provided. The more information you supply, the better the judges will be able to assess your entry.

For the purposes of judging, all information provided will be treated in the strictest confidence and will only be viewed by the judging panel and the Chair of Judges. However, in any editorial write-up about entries some information may be needed from the written entries. Any information that is commercially sensitive and which may not be used in editorial should be clearly marked ‘judges eyes only’.
