How to write a successful entry Fill out the form correctly! Every year we see potentially successful entries that are let down by simply not completing every part of the entry form. Each element is crucial to your entry. Clearly state the entry’s objectives. Judges need to know, in as much detail as possible, clearly presented, what your project was trying to achieve. Successful entries must let the judges evaluate results based on the objective of your project. As important as stating the entry’s objectives is, so is clearly stating the results. Results should demonstrate the achievement of your project’s objectives. It’s not enough to simply demonstrate page impressions, number of Likes or increased revenue. Any results must tie directly to original objectives. Make sure there is concrete proof of the effective end result of the project. new media age judges won’t be fooled by PR puff or woolly reasoning. Demonstrate clearly how each element of your project was delivered, to what budget and what effect it had on final results. Finally, the quality of entries rises every year. Your entry needs to stand out against strong competition to a panel of highly experienced judges. When you’ve completed your form, read it again to make sure it leaves no questions in the judges’ minds. You may know your project inside out, but the judging panel won’t.
